Job Description

Under the supervision of the Electrical Superintendent, the Control Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling, installing components, and wiring electrical control panels as well as various prefabricated parts. The ideal candidate must be able to work accurately from electrical schematics while adhering to quality standards, operating procedures, and established schedules.

Main Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical plans and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare enclosures and mounting plates according to plans and specifications.
• Perform marking, measuring, and drilling of enclosures, backplates, and other components.
• Install, mount, and connect various electrical components (e.g., circuit breakers, relays, transformers, switches).
• Wire electrical control panels and various prefabricated parts in accordance with plans.
• Perform the physical installation of electrical components on various manufactured equipment.
• Identify wires and components according to codes, colors, markers, and indications provided in the plans.
• Perform the identification and labeling of components, wires, and cabling.
• Check the quality and compliance of assemblies prior to testing.
• Conduct quality control checks, make necessary corrections, or report any anomalies to the supervisor.
• Complete required documentation at each stage of the assembly process.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Adhere to working methods, safety standards, and company quality requirements.
• Collaborate with other team members.
• Perform any other related tasks associated with the position.

Experience and Education

• Hold a Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) or an Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in electromechanics, electricity, automation, industrial instrumentation, or a related field.
• Experience in electrical assembly or wiring (panels, industrial equipment, etc.).
• Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Note: The position will be compensated under non-construction terms (HCCQ), as duties are primarily performed at our manufacturing workshop. Occasionally, the candidate may be called upon to work on job sites.
