| JOB DESCRIPTION | Pipefitters play an essential role in the construction, maintenance and repair of industrial piping systems in Quebec. This professional is responsible for reading blueprints, cutting, assembling and installing pipes, as well as maintaining industrial plumbing systems. |
| MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES | Read and interpret technical drawings to determine pipe location and configuration. Prepare materials by cutting, bending and assembling pipes according to specifications. Install and connect pipes in compliance with safety and quality standards. Perform pressure tests to ensure tightness of installations. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on piping systems. Work in collaboration with other trades on construction sites. Comply with safety standards, building codes and regulations. |
| REQUIREMENTS | Possession of a CCQ Competence Card. Gas piping installation certificate (ITG). Professional training in industrial piping or equivalent experience. Proficiency in welding, bending and pipe assembly techniques. Knowledge of safety standards and construction regulations. Ability to work as part of a team on a variety of construction sites. Ability to solve technical problems related to piping. Good communication skills and ability to work independently. ** Salary according to CCQ salary scale. |

| MAIN ROLE | As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in industrial, commercial or institutional facilities. Working alone or in collaboration with the electrical superintendent, the electrician's mission is to ensure customer satisfaction and the achievement of project objectives. |
| RESPONSIBILITIES | Read and interpret schematics, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layout. Install electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays and circuit breakers. Carry out continuity tests to ensure circuit compatibility and safety, after installation using appropriate instruments. Join and connect cables to devices and components to establish circuits. Participate in the electrical installation of new systems. Connect power to communications equipment, signaling devices and heating appliances. Perform breakdown analyses (electrical cause) and suggest measures to correct and improve process efficiency. Organize work plan to ensure planned preventive maintenance work is carried out according to schedule. Take charge of and assist subcontractors who come on site to carry out work. Rigorously apply good health and safety practices. Complete and properly document work orders. Participate in final on-site inspection. |
| EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING | High school diploma or Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS). Valid CCQ competency card. General health and safety course on construction sites (ASP): ATOUT SIMDUT 2015 : ATOUT Good knowledge of electrical code, local codes and construction safety requirements. Good knowledge of electrical power and control. Experience on institutional, industrial and/or commercial sites. |
