Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Manufacturing Project Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and rigorous follow-up of fabrication projects in the workshop (pumping skids, modular units, combustion systems).

The incumbent acts as the central link between the client, the design department, and the production team to ensure that each project is delivered according to specifications, on schedule, and within the established budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination and Kick-off

  • Participate in the review of fabrication files upon receipt of orders.

  • Assist in preparing production schedules and tracking milestones.

  • Coordinate start-up activities with internal teams (production, procurement, engineering, and clients).

  • Perform necessary follow-ups to ensure the availability of materials and components.

Monitoring of Fabrication Activities

  • Ensure daily follow-up on work progress in the workshop.

  • Update schedules and tracking tools (dashboards, ERP, Excel).

  • Contribute to resolving operational issues in collaboration with teams.

Administrative and Budget Support

  • Participate in monitoring project costs (labor hours, materials).

  • Compile data required for progress reports.

  • Assist with document management (purchase orders, scope changes, client files).

  • Verify and process project-related billing (suppliers and clients).

Communication and Collaboration

  • Maintain regular communication with production, engineering teams, and clients.

  • Ensure proper information flow between stakeholders.

  • Participate in project follow-up meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and piping drawings.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Natural leadership and strong communication skills with trade teams (welders, assemblers, electricians), clients, professionals, and suppliers.

  • Strong sense of urgency and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Experience and Education

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in production management engineering, building mechanical engineering, or any relevant combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in project coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Proficiency with planning tools (MS Project, Excel).

  • Experience with ERP software (integrated inventory and project management systems).
